We offer two hour outdoor birthday parties with a qualified Forest School leader, plus another leader/assistant or two. We have set themes with games and craft to choose from, along with the permanent rope swings, hammock, mud kitchens, water play wall, trees for climbing; giant bubbles; bug hunting materials; den building materials; and a variety of tools available throughout the party. Suitable for age 3 and older.
What happens at a party:
At the start we will gather children and briefly explain safety guidelines and expectations, and introduce the activities. Then the children will be free to play in and explore our area for 90 minutes, with the remaining 30 mins for food.

We will always provide water, hot chocolate, and biscuits for the children, and tea/coffee for adults. You bring your own party food, drink and cake, and party bags, and take all rubbish from this away with you. 

The standard party option has no fire.

Optional extras, all of which include having a fire:
S'mores: £1 per child
Campfire quesadilla: £1 per child
Hotdogs: £3 per child
Please pick either hotdogs OR quesadilla - our fire isn't big enough for both. S'mores can be by themselves or with hotdogs/quesadilla

Vegetarian options available for all fire choices. You still bring your own cake, and you can also bring extra party food if you wish, and take all your rubbish away with you.

If you wish for a particular party craft/games theme, such as Harry Potter, Gruffalo, Elves and Faeries, or Dinosaur, these are also available at £1 per child. Please message for details. Other themes may be available on request.

You can select for all these options on the booking form, and change them nearer the time if you wish. 

We do not provide party bags. The children can take home any craft they make.

What's included in the themes:
Dinosaurs: dinosaur egg hunt, dinosaur sensory play, making mud volcanoes 
Elves/Faeries: make a fairy potion or a magic wand, make a leaf/flower fairy
Gruffalo: hunt for Gruffalo in the woods and logpiles, made muddy gruffalo footprints, make a salt dough gruffalo
Harry Potter: make a wizard or witches wand, experiment with making wizarding potions and explore in the forbidden forest 

We may be able to do other themes (Alice in Wonderland; birds; butterflies; pirates; farms, superheroes) not listed - please message us. 

Morning parties are 10am - midday.
Afternoon parties are 1.15-3.15pm. 

Prices start at £200 minimum, for up to twelve children. Any additional children attending are charged at £8 each, apart from non walking baby siblings of the birthday child or their guests. Max children 18. Parents expected to stay, with a ratio of 1 adult per 3 children for under 5's, and one adult per 5 children for over 5's.

Standard Party for up to twelve children £200

We do not provide birthday cakes, balloons, or party bags, but you are welcome to bring your own. Our fire and seating area is under cover and we have serving tables. We do provide tea/coffee for adults, and hot chocolate, drinking water for the children. Please bring all your own cups.

A £50 non refundable deposit is payable upon booking; and you will be asked at checkout if you want any of the fire options and themes. We will contact you about 2 weeks before your party date to discuss your numbers, food and theme choices, and any food/dietary requirements. The balance will be payable ten days before your party, or when you know your final numbers.  Please also advise us of any food allergies.

A 2 hour party will be 1.5 hours of play, craft and games, and 30 mins for food. Adults attending will be expected to help or supervise the children with games and craft where necessary, to enable the forest school leaders to support the fire or tool use activities.

We have handwashing in the woods and access to a toilet; shelter for baby changing and pushchairs. Our seating area is under cover. Access to the site is hilly but suitable for all terrain pushchairs.

Guests, both adults and children, should wear suitable warm outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Our parties take place in all weathers, except high winds or lightning, and the site is muddy at times. Check the bottom of this page for our cancellation policy. 

The party will be hosted by a Forest School leader with outdoor first aid, food hygiene certificate and dbs check; and one or two assistants. The adults organising the party will be responsible for all children at all times, including taking them to the toilet during the party.
